Laura Hey, DC

Dr. Laura Hey is the Doctor of Chiropractic here at Reset. She grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and then attended the College of St. Benedict|St. John’s University near the St. Cloud area. In 2013, she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree and moved to Minneapolis, MN with her brother. After graduating, Dr. Hey knew she wanted to be involved in the health care field and have the ability to serve many people. Her great experience with a chiropractor in middle school who treated a shoulder injury she suffered playing basketball inspired her to pursue chiropractic. That led her to attend Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN to obtain her graduate degree in April of 2017. Dr. Hey enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, traveling, reading, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that corrects misalignments in the spine. Your spine is made up of 33 bones called vertebrae that are stacked on top of each other to protect your spinal cord. The brain sends messages to your spinal cord so that it can communicate to all of the organs and muscles in your entire body via nerves that pass through the vertebrae. Due to trauma and daily stress, your vertebrae can become misaligned and pinch those nerves sending messages to your body, causing disruption and pain. Chiropractic care delivers adjustments to correct these misalignments, allowing your body to operate at its full potential. Chiropractic care helps neck pain, back pain, headaches, joint pain, asthma, ear infections, digestive issues, and so much more!

Dr. Hey specializes in a technique called Activator Methods®. This technique uses a handheld tool built by engineers to deliver adjustments deep into your body. The instrument, called an Activator, elicits a consistent thrust at the exact specific misalignment in a quick, efficient manner. It is a highly researched technique that is safe, effective, and gentle. Visit to learn more.

What to expect on your first visit:

When you come for your first appointment, plan to spend about an hour at our office. First, we will have you fill out a couple of quick pages of paperwork that provide us with your health history and information on your condition. Next, you will meet with the doctor to discuss your condition. With your understanding and consent, she will conduct a full chiropractic exam testing your reflexes, flexibility, and other neurological/postural tests. These tests allow Dr. Hey to determine what is causing your problem. Then, Dr. Hey will develop a Treatment Plan specific to you and your condition. After getting your first adjustment, you will have follow-up visits according to your Treatment Plan. We understand that patients have busy schedules, and we value your time. Therefore, subsequent visits at our office for chiropractic care only take 10-15 minutes.

Fees and Services:

New Patient Consultation: Your first consultation with the doctor is complementary. The doctor will make her best recommendation on whether or not chiropractic care is what you need, and we will decide together if you would like to proceed to the exam.
